This fine and detailed German porcelain plaque depicts a man and a woman in medieval dress in an architectural setting. The woman, with fair, braided hair, gazes longingly at the bearded man as he leans on a book on a windowsill. The plaque is signed ‘R. Haak’ to the lower right and is set within in an ebonised wood frame.
