A rare antique silver beaker of tall tapering form. Excellent large size and still retains the original bright gilt finish. Around the body there is a hand engraved leaf and scroll decoration containing three exquisite quality vignettes of old testament bible scenes. The foot is decorated with a stamped bead and flower ornament. Contains 700 ml. Weight 187 grams, 6 troy ounces. Height 18 cm. Diameter of top 10.9 cm. Frankfurt, Germany c.1700.
