A handsome pair of antique silver candle holders of plain, early design with knopped columns, shaped bases and detachable nozzles. Each has a monogram in old fashioned script inscribed inside the sunken well.

Maker Georg Matthias Einboke.
Marks. One candlestick has silver stamps underneath the base for Braunschweig, lion mark, date letter “E for 1716-1730, makers mark “GME” for Georg Matthias Einboke, and an assay scrape.
The other candlestick is stamped on the edge of the base rim with the lion mark, “AF” and a later Dutch duty mark “O” for 1807.
Nozzles are unmarked.
