Object Description

This 19th century piece  has a balanced drawing and tight weave, hence the clarity of its drawing. The colours are all vegetable dyed which have aged nicely. An attractive example to complement  a wide variety of settings.

Object History

Early Heriz carpets from north west Persia are in a class of their own. Prized for their artistic geometric designs, fine durable construction and wonderful vegetable dyed colours, they have always stood out for their aesthetically appealing designs and make ideal decorative rugs.

Object Condition

In very good to excellent condition, still retaining its selvedges and original fringes at both ends.
