Object Description

Fantastic rustic antique Heriz rug, with wonderful large leaves around a small floral medallion.  We love the dyes on this antique rug, all natural and lovely changes in dye too.  This is great trait of rugs from the late 19th century, a wide border design with rich rustic terracotta tones.  Finding great antique Heriz rugs is increasingly difficult as they were rare small sizes produced and often people hold onto them.  In really good condition with a decent wool pile, ends have been secured to prevent further losses.
We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire & the UK by appointment. Please request a home visit below to schedule a day and time for us to visit you with this rug and alternatives.  We love to travel around the country showing our stock of beautiful antique and contemporary rugs in customers homes to help you find the ideal one.

They are still extremely popular today, and can be used in an traditional home with exposed beams for example as well as a more modern home with contemporary furniture and paintings. Their warm colours and interesting designs make them an excellent compliment to many interiors.
