Object Description
Antique kunzite and diamond necklace. Set to bottom with a drop shape old cut natural unenhanced kunzite in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.40 carats, suspended from a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced kunzite in an open back claw setting with a weight of 3.65 carats, interspersed with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.10 carats, further set with six cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate kunzite weight is 7.05 carats and the total approximate diamond weight is 0.70 carats, to an elegant articulated drop pendant, flowing with movement featuring articulated knife edge bars, elegant pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, accompanied by a fine trace link chain with a secure sprung C-clasp closure, approximately 10″ in length. Marked platinum, circa 1920.
