Object Description

This handwoven wool area rug was made in Persia in the 1900s. The central design features a simple striped pattern with zig-zags interwoven and a decorative repeat pattern border that frames the overall design. Constructed with fine, hand-spun wool which has been dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques which have been used for generations. This piece is suitable for use as a bedroom rug, living room rug, entranceway rug or dining room rug. This rug is in good condition, clean and ready for use.
