Object Description

An antique French Louis style mahogany wash stand with a striking Carrara marble top and splash back.

Dating from to circa 1880, this antique double vanity is an elegant sink unit for a vintage bathroom or traditional ensuite.

The elegant porcelain white and pink glazed sunken sink compliments the stunning white Carrara marble surface and sweeping surround.

This sophisticated design continues with a two door, two drawer mahogany cabinet. It has a distinctly French look, detailed with stop chamfer panelling and dovetail drawers.

Object Condition

Good structural condition. The bowl is sat loose and would need fixing down. This would have originally drained into a bucket so it will need a change or adaption to the waste. New taps would need to be supplied. There is surface discolouration and wear to the marble surface and bowl. To the left back corner of the marble counter surface, the marble has been chipped away to fit a previous location. Originally the taps fed through the back of the splash back.
