Object Description
This is a portrait of Bacchus in later life and he is depicted wearing a vine leaf Crown, with a white beard, piercing eyes and a debauched expression.
It is extraordinary how young Italian artisans in the 18th century, were able to produce portraits like this using a few hundred pieces of glass.
This striking image is set in a later Gold Pendant Mount which tests for 18k Gold.
