Object Description
A delightful pair of Dutch oil on panel framed paintings by Jan Evert Morel, (1777-1808), both signed lower left and dating from the late 18th Century.
The paintings delightfully present charming forest scenes with figures in period costumes.
The artist used very vibrant colours to add some mystery to the scenery and contrast the vivid greens of the forest.
Condition:
In excellent condition the paintings and frames having been beautifully cleaned in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

Jan Evert Morel
lived and worked in Amsterdam for most of his life and exhibited there. Jan specialized in wooded landscapes and still lifes of fruit and flowers. His work combines a romantic feeling for nature with a classically inspired technique.
