This finely painted antique porcelain plaque depicts the Virgin Mary standing on the moon surrounded by winged cherubs, a composition after the 1678 painting by the Spanish Baroque master Murillo, who lived from 1618 to 1682. The plaque is delicately painted, and the composition is superbly colourful.
