Object Description
This is a beautifully painted Italian roundel porcelain plaque, most likely by KPM, circa 1870 in date.
This finely and brightly polychrome enamelled painting on porcelain of the “Madonna Della Seggiola” after Raffaello Sanzio de Urbino is in it’s original and highly decorative Florentine giltwood frame.
There is no mistaking the quality and this is sure to be a treasured addition to your home.

KPM is an acronym for Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, which translates to “Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin.” The company was founded in 1763 by Frederick II of Prussia, who bought the factory from its previous owner, Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky, in the wake of its bankruptcy.
