Antique Russian vermeil and enamel table clock

This exquisite Russian table clock is crafted of vermeil and turquoise guilloche enamel. The clock features a central white oval dial with black Arabic numerals, which is bordered in vermeil. The clock face is set into a flat rectangular case which is crafted in vermeil and inlaid all over with turquoise guilloche enamel. To the reverse is a folding vermeil stand, and marks for St. Petersburg, 1896-1908, an assay mark for Jakow Ljapunow and ’88’ and indistinct makers mark. The clock is set within a fitted custom case.
