Object Description
1671 Sampler by Katorn Noyes. Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass. Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing. The sampler is worked in silk and cotton on linen ground, in a variety of stitches including Algerian eye. No border, divider lines in various patterns. Colours brown, cream, green and pale blue. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-10. Signed and dated ‘KATORn NOYeS. In The YeaR 1671’.
