A griffin
(or gryphon) is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head, wings, and talons of an eagle, combining the “king of beasts” and “king of birds”. Originating in ancient Middle Eastern and Mediterranean art, they symbolize power, vigilance, and royalty, often serving as guardians of treasure or sacred sites.
