A fine antique walnut shaped chest on chest of excellent quality.
English Circa 1900.
This exceptionally good quality walnut chest on chest has a very intricate shaped front and is of extremely good proportions standing on turned bun feet.
The moulded cornice over a top section of four shaped and graduated drawers with hand cut dovetails and herringbone banded edges. Each drawer retaining their original solid brass drop handles and escutcheons plates with metal locks.
The removable top section sits on a shaped moulding over a further three slightly wider graduated drawers.
Raised on the original turned bun feet this chest on chest is of outstanding quality having a beautiful warm honey colour having been finely restored and polished using traditional methods.
All locks working with an old and possibly the original key.
