Object Description

An antique silver Victorian chamberstick with a gadroon border. Made in 1839 by William Eley II, with the original family crest engraved on the handle.
The chamberstick is in lovely condition and has a later inscription underneath: “Arthur Carleton Nicholson from his father and mother William and Isabel Sarah Nicholson 1909”.
The nozzle and snuffer are detachable and original to the piece.
Dimensions: 8.3 x 16.5 cm; weight 9.93 troy oz.
