Object Description

A very fine Edwardian Silver Kings Pattern Flatware cutlery service for 18 people.

This extensive handmade service is also complemented by 18 table knives and 18 dessert made in 1925 by D and J Wellby with stainless steel blades. Stainless steel was a 1913 invention so these are a rare set of knives of great quality (they are unweighted to the handles and dishwasher safe).

The whole set is very crisp and in excellent condition and of substantial weight. It is all crested with a Griffins head over a Ducal crown. The knives are all crested with a point of a spear over a Ducal crown.

The set comprises as follows
