Object Description
A lovely early George II brandy saucepan made in 1737 by George Greenhill Jones of London.
The saucepan still retains its original fruitwood handle and the front is engraved with the crest of the original owner. The arrangement of the crest i.e. being inside a lozenge shape, indicates that the original owner was a lady. The crest is slightly worn due to nearly 300 years of cleaning.
Dimensions: full width to end of handle 22.5 cm, diameter 9.7 cm; weight 4.43 troy oz.
