Object Description
A fine and plain oval-shaped Georgian silver sugar/cream basket of unusual size with a swing-handle and reeded decoration.
Each side bears a set of contemporary initials – indicating that this was a gift in 1790. The initials would almost certainly be those of the giver and the receiver.
The basket is of a smaller size than usual and is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: height (to top of handle) 14 cm, length 12.3 cm, width 7.8 cm; weight 5 troy oz.
