A fine George III period mug of plain unembellished baluster form. The mug stands on a circular domed spreading foot.
This antique silver mug is fitted with an impressive cast, an opposing scroll handle with a chased leaf decorated thumbpiece and a bifurcating scrolling lower terminal.
This mug is in lovely condition and is made by the celebrated lady silversmith, Hester Bateman.
The mug was made in the year of the signing of the American Treaty of Independence.
