Object Description

An excellent quality neoclassical period oil and vinegar cruet.
The heavy gauge cruet stand is finely hand pierced and the scrolled handle is interspersed with shell decoration. It all stands on four cast decorative ball and claw feet.
The period cut glass bottles are surmounted by the original wrythen finialed silver tops engraved with contemporary initials.
The bottle tops and the silver collared necks to the bottles are both struck with the lion passant standard mark.
The bottles and the cruet stand are in good condition.
Dimensions: height 21.8 cm, width 15.5 cm; weight (silver without glass) 13.5 troy oz, weight (silver with glass) 35 troy oz.
