Object Description

A fine George III oval silver salver / tray which stands on four feet and has a beautiful band of ‘bright cut’ hand engraving to the interior.
To the centre of the salver is a the full coat of arms.
The salver is in excellent condition and of a good substantial size suitable for drinks or a four piece tea and coffee service.
John Wakelin and Robert Garrard were important silversmiths and supplied the King and other members of the nobility.
Dimensions, length 45.5 cm, width 36 cm ; internal measurements length 41 cm, width 31.5 cm.
Weight, 56.75 troy oz.
