Object Description

A beautiful large Georgian silver bead edge salver, which is of plain circular form onto four bracket style feet.
The surface of the salver is plain and unembellished.
This very fine salver still retains its original coat of arms to the front and on the reverse the words Ex Dono are written which is the Latin for gift of, indicating that it was given as a present – quite possibly as a wedding gift.
It is in superb condition and was made in the year the first ships were sent out to Botany Bay in Australia.
