Object Description

A characterful little silver novelty mustard pot in the form of an owl with chased feather decoration. The body has an inset holder for the spoon.

Maker Charles Thomas & George Fox, well known for their novelty animal figures.

A charming little table novelty.

Marks. The tail is stamped with a full set of English silver hallmarks, the maker’s mark is not fully stamped; the head is stamped inside with the lion, date and maker’s mark.

Object Condition

The owl is in good condition with minor traces of wear compatible with age.
