Object Description
This is a beautiful antique Victorian triple clam shell shaped silver plated biscuit box, circa 1870 in date and braring the makers mark of the renowned silversmiths Mappin & Webb.
The scalloped biscuit box features a rounded triangular pyramid scalloped shell shaped body which is supported by a decorative twig frame raised on hoof feet and surmounted by a cherub.
The magical box opens simultaneously in three parts to reveal three hinged compartments twith pierced dividers.
This container could house anything from sweets to biscuits, trinkets or earrings. Whatever you choose to store in this lovely item you are sure to do it in style.
