Object Description

A very fine antique silver hand forged kings pattern flatware service for 18 place settings, all made by Charles Boyton of London in 1891-92.
Comprising:
18 table spoons
18 table forks
18 dessert spoons
18 dessert forks
18 tea spoons
6 extra table spoons (for serving)
4 sauce ladles (one pair slightly larger than the other)
In addition to the sterling silver service, there are:
18 fish knives and 18 fish forks in silver plate of exactly the same period and specially made for the service by Mappin & Webb.
Total number of pieces: 136
All the pieces are engraved with a contemporary family crest of a dog.
The service is in excellent condition with a lovely patina.
The service is priced without knives and we would be pleased to supply these, as we have a large stock (or they could be made to the customer/s order).
