Object Description
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver loving / presentation cup is of bell-shaped form, with hand-chased floral motifs on the body and foot.
The body of this antique cup is ornamented to either side with two scroll-decorated shaped cartouches.
The cartouche to one side displays a greyhound and the shaped cartouche on the other side of the cup remains vacant. This most unusual cup was maybe given as a prize for greyhound racing or perhaps it was a special order for a greyhound lover.
This fine cup is fitted with impressive scroll handles.
The cup was made in 1860 by Robert Harper of London.
