Object Description

A very rare Victorian silver watering can after the original design of Dr. Christopher Dresser. This piece is rare as most silver watering cans tend to be made in the early 1900s.
The handle has a wicker covering, which makes it suitable for hot liquids as well as cold.
A similar example (missing the wicker handle) is shown in the pictures from the Brohan Museum in Berlin.
Dimensions: height 15.25 cm, width (from spout to handle) 17 cm, diameter (of drum) 8.5 cm; weight 10.5 troy oz.
