Object Description
A very good early Victorian antique silver Scottish kings pattern cutlery/flatware service for 12 people.
The service is made in 1855, with one piece dated 1854.
Each piece – except the 1854 piece – is finely engraved with the family crest of the Purves or Purvis families (and various spellings thereof).
The service comprises:
12 table forks
12 dessert spoons
12 dessert forks
12 teaspoons
2 large basting spoons
2 sauce ladles
2 butter knives
Soup ladle
Complementing this service are 12 table knives and 12 dessert knives made in 1965 with silver handles and stainless steel blades with no crest (dishwasher safe).
Total: 79 pieces
The whole service is in excellent crisp condition.
The service is available without knives, if required.
