Object Description

A rare William III/Queen Anne period silver trefid spoon made circa 1700 by Daniel Slade of Exeter.

The spoon bears the original betrothal initials for 1708 to the reverse and two more sets of initials probably engraved in the late eighteenth century and again in the early nineteenth century.

The spoon is in good condition and with a nice patina.

It is struck with the rare Exon mark (Exeter).

Dimensions, length 20 cm.

Weight, 1.8 troy oz.
