Object Description
A superb pair of antique sterling silver wine coolers of campana form with cast wrythen handles. Fully complete with matching sleeves and covers in sterling silver. The plain bodies have fine quality applied grape and vine detail. To the front each has an engraved monogram of entwined initials in old fashioned script.
Total weight 5344 grams, 171.8 troy ounces.
Height 31.5 cm. Spread across handles 29 cm.
All pieces hallmarked for London 1851.

Dudley Cater, apprenticed to Jonathan Hayne of Red Lion St, Clerkenwell in March 1823, first mark entered as plateworker, in partnership with Samuel Hayne, July 1836. Died circa 1881-85.
