Object Description
A vibrant and brilliantly detailed mid 19th century antique stained glass window depicting Dante Alighieri, famed late 13th to early 14th century Italian philosopher, writer and poet.
He is captured here in stained glass as he is often portrayed in art and sculpture, wearing a bright red cloak and cap, decorated with a laurel wreath as a symbol of his prominent status as a poet. Thanks to its vivid colour and striking subject, this antique stained glass window is certain to become a feature work of art in any setting, be that a contemporary townhouse or period cottage.
