A good example of a striking Victorian carriage clock, in a corniche-style case with angled “Anglaise”-style handle. With the handle up, the height is 6½ inches.
Perfect enamel Roman dial with unusual blued steel hands.
The 8-day movement has the original lever platform escapement, and strikes the hours and the passing of the half hours on a coiled gong.
Bevelled glasses to all sides, all in perfect condition, with a polished and lacquered brass case, dated c.1890s.
