Antique Swedish repoussé and engraved silver teapot

This elegant Swedish teapot is designed in an ornate style and crafted from solid silver. The body of the teapot is pear-shaped, with a bulbous lower section and a slender upper two-thirds. The body is profusely adorned with geometrical and foliate motifs, such as garlands and acanthus leaves, all executed in relief. The body is mounted with a curved spout terminating in an animal-shaped mouth, while the piece is surmounted by a domed cover and an ornate ebonised wood handle supported by two scrolling silver brackets. The underside is marked.
