20th century, Iranian, Tabriz or Yazd, the field densely woven with floral and foliate scrolls, figures and arches, centred with a depiction of Ahmad Shah Qajar within three bands of Arabic script, within a border of flora and fauna, each corner drawn with a pair of snarling lions
