Object Description

A most attractive and extremely well turned three part boxwood glove powdering flask, of baluster design, having a removable top part that unscrews with five small holes for the powder, the base also unscrews for filling purposes. The whole has a lovely rich honey colour and patination and is in pristine condition. They were needed when the gloves were too tight, especially in the Victorian times when long tight fitting gloves were in fashion. They were used in glove shops and in the home.
