Object Description
An excellent quality and well carved Victorian oak table box, having a fitted lid profusely and deeply carved with acorns and oak leaves, centered by a shield with indistinct initials and dated below 1850. The base conforms with the lid, having deeply carved scrolling leaves and acorns on a concave ground. The left edge of the lid has a historic patinated chip. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
