Object Description

An unusual early 19th century fruitwood pedestal goblet, which has a shallow interior to the bowl and a well turned stem seated on a slightly concave circular base with a vertical foot. It has a historic hand written label to the underside, which reads Marie REYNAUD (-) ATHOME, to the right is written notaire justice (a French lawyer for real estate) and traces of ink shows that it was used in an office. The whole has an excellent rich colour and patination.
