Object Description

A most attractive large Scandinavian ladle in the manner of a Scottish luggie, having three carved initials and a symbol on its base, G. E.O.S. (twice) and N.A.C. The well grained staved pine sides, bound with three protruding willow bands with overlapping joins, have one stave extending upwards to form a bigger lug or handle, which enables the ladle to be used more effectively. It has a most excellent honey colour and patination.
