Object Description
This antique rug was woven by hand in Turkey, Anatolia in the 1920s with fine organic materials. The central design features a diagonal repeat pattern woven with a subtle colour palette featuring an ivory background with black, pink, purple blue and yellow accents that make up the pattern.
Kilim Rugs are woven with a flat-weave technique which has been used for decades because of the hardwearing nature of the final piece. Woven by hand with the finest hand-spun wool and cotton which also add to the durability of the piece, dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques, due to the vivid and subtle tones that they are able to produce.
The traditional designs featured in this wool rug make it easy to style in both cosy classic and clean contemporary styles. Suitable for use as bedroom rug, living room, dinging room, or entranceway rug. Easy to style this piece would make the perfect accent accessory for any room.
