Object Description
A Victorian double sided silver inkstand , halllmarked Birmingham 1871 and made by Horace Woodward & Co. The inkstand is in the Egyptian Revival taste with a cast model of a sphinx forming the lid of the centre box with silver mounted glass bottles either side. There is engraved decoration all round and the inkstand is supported by winged paw feet.The weight without the bottles is 44 troy ounces.
