A wonderful antique Victorian sterling silver cutlery set for twelve persons which has been designed in the feather edge style and consists of:
12 x table forks: 20.8 cms (8.2″) in length
12 x dessert forks: 18.9 cms (7.4″) in length
12 x table/soup spoons: 21.7 cms (8.5″) in length
12 x dessert spoons: 18.8 cms (7.4″) in length
12 x teaspoons: 14.2 cms (5.6″) in length
4 x serving spoons: 22.2 cms (8.7″) in length
2 x sauce ladles: 18.7 cms (7.4″) in length
6 x egg spoons: 12 cms (4.7″) in length
2 x hors d’oeuvres forks: 13.9 cms (5.5″) in length
This fine straight silver cutlery set, which means it is all one date and maker, has been made to a very high standard as one would expect from Elkington & Co. Ltd. The quality of this set is excellent. It would grace any dining table and would be a pleasure to use. There are 74 pieces in total and it weighs 140 troy ounces (4,354 grams). There is a crest of a wild boar on the front of each piece, which adds to the history of this pristine set. Useful wraps have been provided to help keep this set clean and tidy.
