Object Description
An antique Victorian sterling silver cutlery set which has been designed in the Fiddle pattern style for eight persons. This lovely set was hallmarked in London between 1852 – 1872 by George Adams and remains in excellent condition. It consists of:
8 x table forks: 20 cms (7.9″) in length
8 x dessert forks: 17.2 cms (6.8″) in length
8 x table (soup) spoons: 22.8 cms (9″) in length
8 x dessert spoons: 17.8 cms (7″) in length
8 x teaspoons: 14.7 cms (5.8″)in length
1 x basting (serving) spoon: 30 cms (11.8″) in length
2 x sauce ladles: 18.1 cms (7.2″) in length
8 x table knives: 24.5 cms (9.6″) in length
8 x dessert knives: 22 cms (8.7″) in length
This well cared for set of silver cutlery would look wonderful when displayed on the dining table and would be a pleasure to use. The silver handled knives with stainless steel blades were made and hallmarked in 1993 and compliment this set of cutlery extremely well. Useful wraps have been supplied to help keep the silver set neat and tidy.
