Object Description
A late 19th Century French table clock for the Arab market, the movement stamped Roblin & Fils Freres.
The rectangular case, with cast and pierced foliate scrollwork decoration, has a shallow domed top below a rock crystal ball surmounted by a crescent moon. The sides have inset concave porcelain plaques with geometric polychrome-enamelled decoration, the rear of them signed Sevres.
The 3 inch porcelain dial has Roman numerals and a beaded brass bezel.
The 8-day two-train movement is signed to the backplate,Roblin & Fils Freres striking on a bell, with star and crescent pendulum and key.
