Object Description
A wonderful vintage emerald and diamond ring. The step-cut emerald in the centre – certified as Colombian and with no evidence of oiling – is, as far an emeralds go, just about perfect; the ideal blue / green colour, internally clean and – very rare for emeralds – free of clarity enhancement. The stone is rubover set in yellow gold and surrounded by twelve white and bright eight cut diamonds. The split shoulders are overlayed with a marquise shaped petal, which leads to a slender D-shaped shank. Crafted 18k yellow gold. Currently UK size N or US size 6.5 (complimentary sizing available).
Accompanied by an emerald report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the emerald shows no evidence of clarity enhancement, and is Colombian in origin.
