Object Description
A fine pair of vintage diamond and pearl earrings, in platinum. The diamonds – each weighing approximately 0.25 carat total – are assessed as H to I colour, SI clarity, and are mounted in six claw coronet collets. A fixed bar leads to a beautifully lustrous creamy pearls. The butterflies are crafted into a floral design, which is repeated in the cups holding the pearls – a lovely detail which one only finds in handmade, vintage jewellery.
Cut – Old European cuts.
Colour – H and I.
Clarity – SI1.
Carat – Each diamond is approximately 0.25 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Measurements – From the top of the diamond to the bottom of the pearl is approximately 11.5mm. The pearls are approximately 6.1mm in diameter.
Weight – 3.05 grams total.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
