Object Description
A gorgeous antique ruby ring. The natural ruby in the centre – certificated as natural and unheated – displays a vibrant pinkish, purplish red. The stone is rubover set in yellow gold and surround by 10 old mine cut diamond in a coronet settings, leading to a slim and tapering 18k yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the ruby shows no evidence of heating.
Cut: The ruby is slightly off round (oval). The diamonds are old mine cuts.
Colour: The diamonds range from H to I.
Clarity: The ruby is clean through a jeweller’s loupe. The diamonds range from VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat: The ruby is approximately 0.70 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.50 carat.
Circa: 1920.
