Art Deco Blue-John Mantel Clock

Art Deco mantel / desk clock. The rectangular case of pale agate dial surround with blue-john panels to the sides and top resting on a black slate base with block feet.
Chrome bezel, painted dial with ‘Art Deco’ style numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands.
Eight day timepiece movement with platform escapement. C.1900
This clock unusually retains it’s original presentation case signed for the clockmaker James Ramsay, Dundee.
James Ramsay was a highly respected Clockmaker and also a gold and silver smith working from 8 High Street, Dundee.
