Object Description
Art Deco Colombian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape emerald-cut natural Colombian Muzo emerald with no colour enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats, flanked by a spray of ten channel set rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats, with two curving rows to top and bottom of ten millegrain and grain set round old single cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, and further flanked by ten round eight cut diamonds to the shoulders in open back grain and millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.90 carats, to a cushion shape cluster featuring curving claws, an elegant scrolling pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by trumpeting openwork shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1925, accompanied SSEF report 121443.
